What should I wear?
The dress code is Semi-Formal!
Please come in something you'd feel comfortable in while in a backyard party setting. Ladies - reconsider any plans for wearing stilettos, we'll be walking on grass!
What will the weather be like?
Of course, we can't know for sure!
But typically, April in Charleston is around 70 degrees in the daytime and in the 60s at night.
Where should I stay?
You have many options!
We've blocked some rooms at the Town & Country Inn and Suites on Savannah Highway which is a great option and very close by but there are plenty of other hotels in the area as well as some comfy Airbnbs. Look for places near John's Island as it will be much easier for you to reach us!
How should I get there?
We have arranged transportation!
There will be a bus meeting at the Town & Country Inn and Suites at 4:50pm to take guest to the event! If you'd rather drive yourself, however, you absolutely can. There is parking on the property and in a lot next door.
Can I bring my kids?
Apart from the children of the bride and groom's close family, we've opted for an adults-only affair to allow everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration! We hope you understand our decision and can arrange childcare for the evening. If you have any concerns or special circumstances, please don't hesitate to contact us directly to discuss further.
Where is the reception?
The reception and ceremony will both take place in the backyard of the bride's family home on John's Island at 5092 Chisolm Road.
What time is dinner?
Check out the event itinerary here!
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Please plan to arrive no later than 5:15pm!
The ceremony begins at 5:30pm so this allows adequate time to grab a drink, find a seat and settle in.
Can I bring a plus one?
We believe we've already accounted for everyone's plus ones, but if we missed anyone - please let us know! However, please only bring an extra guest if you've gotten full confirmation from the bride and groom as we have only planned the event around a set number of guests.
What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
Please let us know as soon as you can!
For the dietary restrictions we're aware of, the caterers have already been notified.
What's fun to do in Charleston?
The bride and groom absolutely recommend arriving a couple days early or staying a few days after the wedding, if you can - Charleston is such a great city and you should not miss this opportunity to check out! Here is a small list of things the bride and groom love to do when they're in town:
Visit the Angel Oak Tree
Shop Local at City Market
Walk Down Rainbow Row
The Darling Oyster Bar
See the Battery and Waterfront Park
Carmella's Cafe and Dessert Bar
How can I give a gift?
The bride and groom really appreciate your generosity, it means the world! However, they've been living together for over five years now so they already have most of the items that would go on a typical wedding registry. They've just moved into a new home and would love to visit Japan for their honeymoon so donations to those funds are extremely appreciated! Check out their registry page here!
